Keeping the Riverton InstaCare in Business

Today Logan, Castle and I, went to Auntie Nissa's house for a birthday celebration. Logan was playing in the backyard with Nissa's daughter, Caci. They were running in the sprinklers and climbing all over the deck. After a while a few adults went outside to watch the kids play. Logan and Caci were playing around a rock wall in the backyard. I didn't see what happened but the after math looked as though, either Caci tackled him, (girl power) or Logan tripped. He hit his head on the rock wall and he ran to hide as he started to cry. When he ran by I noticed a little blood running down his head. I picked him up to see if he was okay and we saw that there really was a lot more blood than it initially looked like. Auntie Misty cleaned his head while I held him. I could not tell how badly he was cut, but Misty let me know that the cut probably needed stitches. Auntie April put a bandage on his head so we could drive to the InstaCare.
Logan was a champ, he stopped crying after a few minutes and started working the situation. He gave Auntie Dena puppy dog eyes and asked her if she would come over to watch movies with him. (He was not aware that he was on his way to InstaCare and not going directly home.) He does such a good job at puppy dog eyes that Dena could not say no. He then started with April and Misty, asking them to come over to the house as well. I decided this was a good time to let him know where we were headed and that he was probably going to get stitches. I braced myself for a meltdown but none came. He seemed to have accepted that he was on his way to the doctors office, again.
When we arrived at the InstaCare a nurse checked out his head and let us know he would indeed need stitches. I called "Steve", letting him know we were going to be a while because Logan was getting his second set of stitches. "Steve" was on his way to help possibly hold Logan down when the time came. As a few of you may recall, Logan had stitches about 2 years ago. It took six adults to hold him down, and he still has an ugly scar above his right eye.

You can see that Logan was not afraid, at first. The doctor decided to give him a lidocaine shot around the cut so that it would not take as many people to hold him down. Logan did not hold still for the shots, he was fighting us to get free, but after the medication kicked in he was fine. He impressed the staff with is knowledge of superheros while they stitched him up. We ended up with six stitches and only a little restraining was required. Logan is doing great, he is getting as much mileage as he can, as usual. We are hoping that this scar will be smaller and less noticeable than the last, I am sure we will keep you posted.
