Indoor Soccer, First Game

Indoor soccer is here at last. Logan has been asking to play for months! He was so anxious to play, he was driving me crazy. We signed him up and convinced his future partner in crime, Caci to play with him. This is her first sport, and she is gearing up to be a star.

Logan was, lucky, or should I say the only kid on the team who wanted to do the first kick. He used some of the skills he was taught this summer and avoided the other team. Caci is still warming up to her team, she is the only girl. She isn't so sure she wants to be associated with the group yet. I don't understand why. My favorite is the boy who throws himself on the floor if he comes close to the ball. He topped that by getting himself tangled in the net, glasses and all. He did this to the point he required assistance, twice. Man, I'm glad that's not my kid. Just teasing.

Our cheering section consisted of Sena, Auntie Dena, Ainsley (sp), Lanissa, Castle and "Steve". They all cheered Caci and Logan on. You have to keep an eye on them, they are crazy!

Logan was a good sport. We are going to work on the importance of passing to your team mates and not taking the ball from them. Oh and such delicate things like. Not telling the coach of the opposite team how many points you have scored and that they are at zero. Logan was very excited and he scored Four goals that I witnessed. If you ask him it ranges anywhere between four and seven. He really has come out of his shell since last season.
